Top-of-Texas Olney Cubs Midget football team secures victory over Burkburnett Bulldogs

The Olney Cubs Midget football team played the Burkburnett Bulldogs on Saturday, Oct. 20 at Cub Stadium in Olney. The game can only be described as a nail-bitting event.

The Bulldogs scored the first touchdown of the game, and got a two-point conversion. Their lead was soon cut short by a 60-yard touchdown by Olney Cub Christopher Hernandez. The first quarter ended with the Bulldogs in the lead by two points.

The Bulldogs scored the first touchdown in the second quarter, but the Cubs soon narrowed their lead with another touchdown by Christopher Hernandez. The Bulldogs scored again, but were quickly answered by another Cubs touchdown that brought the score to 18-22.

The Cubs finally took the upperhand, as Christopher Hernandez scored two more touchdowns for the Cubs. The Bulldogs scored their final touchdown, with the Cubs defense preventing the twopoint conversion attempt. The Cubs won the game, with a final score of 30-28.
