School starts Monday, Aug. 16. There are several things you need to know to ensure your child is registered and ready to go. Many of you may have obtained the information you need from Olney ISD’s Facebook page or the website. However, for everyone who relies on the newspaper, please continue reading this article for information and resources.

Registration began July 27 and will continue through August 5. The registration time is from 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. All students must have completed registration packets ready to be eligible to pick up students’ schedule and computer. Registration packets are available in the High School foyer through August 6. For tech savvy parents, you may complete registration for the 2021-22 school year online at www.olneyisd.net. Scroll down to the middle of the page, just above the “Stay-In-the-Loop” section and scroll over to the appropriate school. Click on the “More Info” button to register your child. Laptop pickup is August 5 from 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

The good news is the Olney ISD website has been re-organized to create a more user-friendly experience. It is truly the information hub where you will find everything from rules to game schedules. In the “Stay-in-the-Loop” section, you can access the newsfeed from Olney ISD’s Facebook page, learn about upcoming events and view the district calendar.
