Olney Cubs clawed Seymour Panthers

Friday October 11, the Seymour Panthers showed up at Cub Stadium to battle the Olney Cubs.

The first quarter, Quarterback #7 Gabe Garza ran one in for the Cubs and with a failed extra point kick that had the Cubs taking the lead--Cubs 6 Panthers 0. The Panthers mounted a comeback with three unanswered touchdowns with failed conversions and extra point attempts to end the first quarter with Cubs 6 and Panthers 18.

In the second quarter, the Panthers pounced with two additional touchdowns and two failed extra point attempts. Cubs defense fought hard to keep the Panthers at bay until the half time whistle blew, but were unable to put any points on the board.

In the third quarter, the Panthers came out firing with a touchdown with a failed conversion. The Cubs, who always come out of the second half fired up and ready to battle, answered with a touchdown with a successful 2-point conversion. The Panthers struck back with two touchdowns with successful 2-point conversions and one touchdown with a failed extra point attempt.

The fourth quarter was much of the same with the Cubs fighting hard and never giving up until the end resulted with a Cubs loss. The final score Cubs 28 and Panthers
