NBA playoff predictions

NBA playoff predictions

Mavs vs. Clippers: The Clippers have too many weapons for the Mavericks to keep up...both offensively and defensively. Clippers in five games.

Lakers vs. Suns: The Suns have had a remarkable regular season but will fall to the Lakers in six games as the Lakers have the two best players in the series.

Now discussing the later rounds: I see the Jazz defeating the Clippers in the second round, and Lakers defeating the Jazz in the Western Conference Finals. The Clippers have had a difficult time this season finishing games. Kawhi and Paul George have to be able to hit big shots against a Jazz team that takes pride in defense and team basketball. By the second round, Donovan Mitchell should be back to full strength. The Jazz are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and are still completely underrated at this point. I predict the Jazz defeating the Clippers in seven games. To the East, the Nets and Bucks will face off in the second round. I predict that the Bucks pull off the upset and defeat the Nets in six games due to their stellar defense. The Nets have more talent than any team in the league, but have been unable to stay healthy this season. The trio of Durant, Harden, and Irving is one of the most lethal offensive teams in history, but they have to be able to get stops. I do not see them be able to do that against a Milwaukee Bucks team that added Jrue Holiday in the off season. Bucks will defeat the 76ers in six games to advance to the NBA finals, which narrows it down to the Lakers vs. Bucks in the NBA finals. These two teams are relying on their defense and their ability to score in the paint. Lebron vs. Giannis will be very entertaining--representing the old vs. the new. If the Lakers remain healthy with Lebron and Anthony Davis, the Lakers will be repeating as champions in 2021.
