Mini Cheer Camp ends with 24 participants

The 2021 Olney Lady Cub Mini Cheer Camp ended with lots of cheering and stunt routines. According to the Olney High School (OHS) Cheerleader Coach Janie Green, the camp was a great success this year, with 24 participants for the 2021 camp.

Green said the OHS varsity cheerleaders ran the entire camp. “The camp teaches aspiring cheerleaders the skills it takes to be a cheerleader and is a fundraiser to help the OHS cheerleaders buy supplies throughout the year to come.”

Some skills young cheerleaders learn during camp are chants, motions, cheers, jumps, and the Olney Cub fight song.

Green concluded, “We thank everybody and all the children that joined us. They had a good time, and they are all very precious kiddos. We’ve really had fun with it!”
