Football ‘two-a-days’ start

After what seemed like eternity, football is back. The Olney Cubs began the annual rite of passage for all Texas high school football players - two-a-days. The days are hot and practice can get grueling but for those who love football like these Cubs it will be worthwhile when the season begins and these Cubs have acclimated to the heat. Let’s go, Cubs!

Olney Cubs Head Football Coach Jason Powers takes on the team’s top coaching position after previously filling the role of defensive coordinator. Coach Powers is already acquainted with the Cubs’ ground-and-pound style of veer offense, which will make it that much easier and quicker to get into the groove this season. Many players are returning to the Cubs this year and the team is primed to return to the playoffs.

Coach Casey Keeter is back at home coaching the Cubs this year. Coach Keeter has the heart of a true Cub and it is exciting to see him back where he belongs. Good luck this season, Coach!

The Olney Cubs began two-a days and are already firing on all cylinders with their running game.
