Cubs scalped by Nocona Indians

The Olney Cubs took another tough loss Friday night in a 61-0 affair at the hands of the Nocona Indians. Nocona bursted into the game with 33 first-quarter points, followed by another 14 in the second quarter. A scoreless third quarter gave way to 14 more Nocona points in the fourth to seal the victory. Olney's bright spot was the play of Cesar Flores who led the team with 13 tackles, the only Cub to break double-digits. Parker Mayers finished with seven tackles and added Olney's only sack. Jesus Escobedo was second on the team with eight tackles. The Cubs will face rival Archer City Friday night at home beginning at 7:30 p.m.
