Will B.for Texit

Will B.for Texit

(Continued from last week)

As you continue to read the last half of the Declaration of Independence, you may start to notice a great many similarities from 1776 and the times we live in now, as far as governments are concerned.

“Texit” is a movement to allow Texas to secede from the United States. A Texit measure was introduced in the 2021 Legislative session but died. A group called the Texas Nationalist Movement then proposed a nonbinding ballot measure that would determine voter interest in seceding from the United States. The proposed referendum reads: “The State of Texas should reassert itself as an independent nation. FOR or AGAINST.” But the measure was rejected by both parties - who declined to place it on their primary ballots this year.

Texit is a growing trend with pro-Texan loyalists who see a great benefit for Texas seceding from the Union. The Texas independence groups support a successful Texas Republic as its own country.

In some ways I would like to see this happen, mostly from a Texas pride standpoint, but I do not believe this would make a stronger nation as a whole and would further destabilize the United States and freedom in general. Please take the time to read over the Declaration of Independence and make your own mind as to what would be best. As always, the best solution is to wake sleeping Americans from the sheep-like mentality and head to the polls to make real change and hold politicians accountable. This is Will B saying, it is the duty of every citizen to get out and vote.
