Temporary

“To everything, there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.”

Nothing lets us frail humans remember just how temporary things are concerning our lives than health issues. We are not designed to last forever and I believe this applies to different periods of our lives as well. I believe we have lessons to learn and experiences to go through that we can either learn from and grow or be doomed to repeat them.

We go through times of sorrow, maybe a loved one dies or any number of things that would affect us deeply, we have times of hardship and times of plenty. The point is even in times of plenty there are lessons to learn, although I have found the majority of important lessons to learn have come from times of strife. Maybe it’s just me; I have a hard head and don’t always get my lessons the first time round.

The thing to remember through all the different seasons of life we will go through is, life is temporary, the same as any given situation or time period in our life, good or bad. It’s good to remember this because sometimes it makes things easier to get through knowing there is an end result or an end to a situation. Kinda like being grounded and knowing when I was going to have my punishment lifted when I was young was always better than when I was told I was grounded till further notice, generally reserved for my bigger blunders. Ha ha! It’s not always easy making it to the other side of troubles but there is always another side and that is what to focus on in dark times.

Remember, God will never give us more than what we can handle. 1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” This is Will B saying, hang in there, you never know what tomorrow will bring.
