“The land down under”

I just spent the last week traveling across Australia. Vibrant cities, coastlines, and the outback – all of it was amazing. Everything just seemed better there; sunrises and sunsets, the local beer, and don’t even get me started on the food.

Did I say I spent the last week in Australia? Well…April Fool’s!

But on a more serious note, Australia has been on my Top 3 Places to Visit list for quite some time (with Egypt being #1) and here’s why: There is a colossal amount of Australia’s natural beauty that has been preserved because the aboriginal Australians worked with the land, not against it. When such a vast amount of land is untouched by developing societies for such a long time, the scenery and wildlife is just simply breathtaking. I’m an animal lover , so you can imagine how I would love to see all the wildlife there - the kangaroos, koalas, dingos, wombats and many others. With so much undisturbed land and unpaved roads, there is plenty of opportunities to see the animals in their natural habitat. Now that would be one heck-of-a road trip!

I have vacationed in numerous different countries in my life and one thing they all seemed to have in common was how they generally regarded tourists as such an imposition. France was the worst at welcoming tourists but Australia on the other hand is known for how friendly and talkative they are to travelers visiting their country. They are internationally known as lovely people and (from what I gather) they live up to their stereotype very well.

My top three places to visit before I die are: 1. Egypt 2. Australia 3. Ireland. While the aforementioned locations all seem to be pretty unattainable right now as far as vacations go, I won’t let that stop me from having my list. The first step towards achievement is believing. If you do not believe, then you will never achieve. I believe I will one day travel to Australia.

Where do you believe you will one day travel to?
