The most amazing sight greeted me last week. As I was driving along toward home, I saw it, and in disbelief, I jerked my head around for another look. Yes, there it stood; a big ol’ tree with white blossoms covering only the south side while the entire north exposure was completely void of blooms. I guess the direct rays of the sun on our recent warm days had coaxed those buds to open while the more shaded north side remained asleep. Nature-- full of surprises!

Daylight Savings Time sprang forth on Sunday the 12th, so hope you remembered, especially if you had a Bible Class to attend. It’s not a good feeling to arrive for class while everyone is filing OUT the door! Blush!!

Mass exodus upcoming?! Yes, many families do plan a getaway during Spring Break since their kiddos have no school, but some of us never got to do that because our kids played in sports that often had tournaments during the breaks.

Thanksgiving time brought football play-off games; Christmas time provided basketball tournaments; Spring Break time gave choices of track and/or baseball. Been there- done that- loved every second!! As parents we are DELIGHTED to spend time watching and supporting our children. Enjoy your time with your amazing kids!

Don’t forget about the Bake Sale at Stewart’s on Monday the 20th. Come early (9:30 - 11:00) to get your treats secured. Brush your sweet tooth and be ready for some deliciousness! Cakes or cookies straight from the oven have such an amazing aroma, so come “ sniff out” some of our fare as you help support Cub Center. At 1:00 that day our Stepping Stone Creations will begin to take shape. Let Angela know if you want to “step out” for a lot of creative fun so she can get enough supplies. Fun, fun, fun so come, come, come.

Heads up! I plan on waving at everyone I meet while driving down the street. Edward Furr is my inspiration for this gesture. He let me know that I was a little late in responding to his wave as he passed me and goodnaturedly teased me about it. Even if I don’t know you or recognize your vehicle, I will wave. It’s a friendly thing to do and it just might brighten someone’s day. Join me in this if you’d like, and we’ll spread a bit of cheer along the way.

Thanks to all of you for doing your rain dances so well. They really paid off! Keep up the good work! Wow! The thunder was an amazing display of sounds that rivaled any of Mozart’s concerts. Thank you again!

Don’t forget about St.Patrick’s Day coming up; find something green to wear or suffer a pinch. Who came up with that idea anyway? Maybe it was the Grinch who just wanted to pinch. That would explain the green anyway.?

Have a good and safe week of family fun. Spread your own brand of sunshine along your pathway!
