Publisher’s Points to Ponder One of these mornings

I was listening to Dr. Tony Evans this past weekend, and it dawned on me that I spend entirely too much time stressing about things I can’t possibly control no matter how hard I try.

The gist of Dr. Evans’ message was how disturbances prepare us for future endeavors. He used multiple examples in the Bible where various leaders had to undergo some sort of disturbance right before they were elevated to the next level. Some would spend time complaining about the situation, while others embraced the opportunity for growth because they were assured that God was up to something. In either case, God always meets us where we are. We must be steadfast in our faith and know without a doubt that God is up to something great.

Apostle Paul reminds us in his letter to the Ephesians (3:20-21 NIV) that, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.” With this in mind, why is it so hard for us to trust God?

One of these mornings, as my grandmother would often say, I am going to wake up with faith that is strong enough to carry me through any crisis I encounter.
