Looking Back: Jodie Sue Cole

Jodie Cole Harris was born as Jodie Sue Cole on February 15, 1935, in Olney.

When she was 5 years old, she was the Olney High School Band Mascot as shown in the photo.

After graduating from Fort Walton High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, she attended Troy State Teachers College in Troy, Alabama.

She returned to Texas to live the majority of her years, pursuing careers in retail and property management.

Jodie passed away in Austin, Texas at the age of 72 and is buried at Restland Cemetery next to her father, Horace B. Cole, and her uncle and aunt, Lester and Jane Cole.
