“ Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

Hebrews 7:25 NASBS

Jesus came into the world to show the eternal love of God to save sinners of which I am the foremost. “He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.” He is God and it was for this purpose that He came in the flesh and died, that He might be the first to be raised from the dead among many brethren, whom He would draw to Himself. Who has ever known such love as this, that Jesus would come and lay His own life down as a living sacrifice, taking the sins of the world upon Himself. But not only this, He would then impute His perfect righteousness upon those who come to Him in faith. Now because of the finished work on the cross, Jesus is able to save to the uttermost. You see the scriptures tell us, “Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.”

He has entered into the holy of holies as the God of man, Who is presently seated next to the Father, with the scars upon His body to prove it. The epistle to the Hebrews tells us, “He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.” Jesus is pleading on behalf of every Christian and is making intercession for those whom He loves. So who can bring a charge against God’s elect, God is the One that justifies. It is the crimson blood of His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that was splashed upon the altar that cries out, “Justified, justified, this one has been forgiven for all their trespasses.” Therefore Christian, rejoice, for the Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all. Rest assured, saints of God, He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. So rejoice with the Psalmist, “Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word! Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will. Bless the LORD, all your works of His, In all places of His dominion; Bless the LORD, O my soul!”
