Jack Frost is an imp for sure! He and Old Man Winter keep playing tricks on us. Frosty mornings, snow, sleet, freezing drizzle, and then days of spring warmth are making me dizzy and confused. But, I am sure that we will all be wishing for a tidbit of the cold to help us endure the oppressive heat by July!

Bill Ballard and Corky Hughes have been blessing us with their presence pretty often lately. That Corky is quite a talker; he had us laughing with some of his ‘tales’ last week. I can hardly wait to hear more of those great stories next time! Alvin Hoenig, who drives one of those Sharp buses, comes to eat with us when a rider comes to Olney. He has a delightful sense of humor and is a great conversationalist. He said Sharp Lines is looking for a driver from the Olney area, so if anyone is interested, contact that company.

The “Piano Man” is coming! The “Piano Man” is coming! Yes, he will be here on the 29th to entertain our honored guests, the Vietnam Veterans.

Thank you, Ministerial Alliance, for becoming a benefactor for Cub Center. We are honored to partner with you in feeding and encouraging our clientele. God is love, as you have demonstrated.

We are who we are by how we act. Eyes are always watching, and we are influencers and mentors by the way we live and treat others. So let us make sure we are the proper examples for our young people to follow and our neighbors to respect. Everyone desires love and respect; let’s spread our sunshine every day.

Thank you, Gerald Butler, for loaning me that book on Texas history. Yes, it’s different from most textbooks today, but it is informative and very hard to put down! Thanks again!

Wow, March is on a fast march through the calendar. Wonder if it will go out like a lamb or a lion? It’s a tossup! Just enjoy those tulips and hyacinths as they pop their cheerful little faces out of the earth. Find love and hope in the beauty all around us.
