Commissioner’s Court

The Young County Commissioner’s Court met on Monday, Sept. 28 for their final meeting of the month. The meeting began with public comments, including a COVID-19 Update after Young County has gone up in cases in the past week. There was also two reports of Hotel Occupancy for Wildcatter and Resort for the months of March and April. The court considered the financial report and updates on securities pledged.

The next item on the agenda was considering the auditors budget amendments, as well as vouchers payable. The court ratified lease purchase agreements from the American national leasing company for law enforcement vehicles before considering a commercial trailer lease agreement for a 2021 40’ pitboss belly dump.

Next on the agenda was to consider bids for government deals for a 2020 Ford F-350 SD XL Cab Crew Pickup, brought forth by Jimmy Wiley, and another bid from GovDeals for a 1997 Chevrolet C/K 3500 Cab Crew Pickup. Item 11 was to consider assigning the County Judge an immediate supervisor of addressing and 9-1-1 coordinator.

Last up on the agenda was to discuss burn restrictions before adjourning. The next Young County Commissioner’s Court meeting will be held on Monday, Oct. 12, and the last meeting in Oct. will be on Oct. 26.
