“Joy Everlasting”

“Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones.” Psalm 33:1 NASBS

Rest assured, beloved, the promises of the Lord will never fail those who are in Christ Jesus, for the God of Israel is a God who cannot lie. He is the only true God Who holds everything together by the breath of His word. In Him is life, and there is life in no other. And the eternal life that He has given is guaranteed in His Son Jesus Christ, Who gave Himself as a living sacrifice to all whom the Father has given to Him. Yes, my brothers and sisters, it is true, you are the royal inheritance that God has given His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. With this knowledge, should you not rejoice now, regardless of your circumstances? Think for just a minute. Though you may suffer now for a little while in this broken world that is affected by sin, at the appointed time, you will be raised to an eternal kingdom where righteousness reigns and sin and death will never touch you again.

Christian, it is God Himself Who has sealed you with His very own Spirit as a pledge of the divine promise that can never be revoked nor forfeited. The promise is, Those Whom the Father has given the Son He will not cast out one of them, but will raise them on the day the Father has set when He will judge the world according to His righteousness. This eternal King Who dwells in eternal light, Who has no beginning or end, Who commands the host of the heavens, Who speaks to the mighty oceans,” Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further,” has sought you out with an everlasting love that will not be denied Him.

The unapproachable One has called you by your name and clothed you in the blood of His only Son. He has caused your iniquity to fall upon Him. Just as it is written, “Those whom the Son sets free, you will be free indeed.”

Come now, children of God, shall we continue in sin for one moment longer? Shall we entertain the things that grieve the King’s heart, Who has invited us to dine at His royal table? May it never be, but on the contrary, let all of creation hear the rejoicing of our hearts singing, “Come, thou almighty King, Help us thy name to sing; help us to praise. Father all-glorious, O’er all victorious, Come and reign over us, Ancient of Days.” So do not hold back your voices for one moment longer, you who are suffering, or you who are struggling, or you who are under the throes of temptation, for Jesus Christ has sealed your destiny and your time here is only for a moment.

So lift your hands all who are in Christ, for the day draweth near when you shall gaze upon The Savior who died for your sins on Calvary’s Hill. How glorious a day that will be when you lay your head upon His breast secured in His everlasting arms. So, “Shout for joy, O heavens! And rejoice O earth! Break forth into joyful shouting, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people And will have compassion on His afflicted.”

“Sing for joy in the LORD, O you righteous ones,” come and sing, for God has declared His Son Jesus to be the ruler and victorious over everything.
