The community turned out in large numbers on Sunday to mourn the passing of Annie Faye Stewart, who founded and ran Stewart’s Grocery Store in Olney with her husband Harold and her sons Robert and Danny.

The Olney City Council will vote to rebid the water treatment plant construction project and explore ways to finance an expected shortfall following a July 10 town hall meeting that explored ways to resurrect the stalled project.
New pool makes a splash in Olney
After a few delays, the municipal swimming pool made its big debut on July 9 to the delight of the citizens of Olney. The new facility hosted a “splash day” party for the opening day of the pool, when admission was free.
