Young County Republicans’ gala rallies supporters

The Young County Republican Party held a Republican Gala on Nov. 4, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Young County Arena in Graham.

The Gala featured many conservative speakers----including U.S Representative Jodey Arrington, State Senator Pat Fallon and State Representative Drew Springer---along with the state chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, James Dickey, Steve Munisteri..who is a retired attorney from Houston, Texas, who was previously the Deputy assistant to President Trump in the Trump Administration. Last but not least, Lt. Col. Allen West… who is a noted author, a Fox News contributor, and a former United States House of Representative out of Florida.

The message overall message was clear by the Young County Republican Party and speakers last Monday---- “Keep Texas Red”. Lt. Col Allen West was the highlight of this meaning stating “ We have a progressive socialist tyranny that has presented itself on the ideological battlefield in the great state of Texas, “ he said. “The enemy is not at the gates, the enemy is in the gates,” West added. West along with the many others referenced the vote on state income tax in Texas. The vote ended up passing, to keep the state with no income tax for the foreseeable future.

Steve Munisteri had an inspiration speech as well, talking about how the Trump administration is far different than what is being told by the liberal media broadcast all across the country. He stated that the Trump administration is not chaotic, they are constantly working around the clock, with Trump keeping every promise from his campaign trail. He referenced that in his opinion, this is the most conservative administration and president that he has seen in his lifetime—including the Reagan administration, which he referenced as working with the a young conservative for Reagan organization back in the 1980’s. He finished by saying that Trump told him “ I am sending you to Texas to work with John Cornyn so that we make sure to keep Texas red.”
