Why Christians Must Vote
It is no secret that we are at war. Not with bombs and bullets, but at the ballot box. This war happens every four years with smaller battles throughout. The battle for the executive seat of power in America has many parts, but it all comes down to the choice of people like you and me.
The secular world that we are living in is a result of Christians surrendering their right to vote and not getting involved in politics. Now you might think that I am going to say that everyone should vote, but I will not. That seems ironic, you always hear that one vote can make all the difference, Texas joined the union by two votes.
It has been found that more people recognize the Simpsons than our elected officials.
If you cannot name the three branches of government, or do not know the Bill of Rights, I am not sure that you should vote. That might seem insensitive, but if you don’t even know what is going on now, I do not think that you can make an informed decision.
That being said, if you do know what is going on, you should vote and how you vote matters. Christians need to vote in a way that supports the teachings of The Good Book. Now, I am not allowed to give specifics of what you should vote for.
However, I can say that our dependency must be on God and not on the government. Furthermore, remember that all human life has inherent value that cannot be undermined or ended.
Do not forget that we live in a world where we can choose the destiny of our country. At least for now.
