Vintage wedding dress on display now at Olney Heritage Museum

Neva McClatchy is pictured above standing next to the wedding dress she wore on her wedding day, July 10, 1947 when she married Donald McClatchy right after graduating from college. McClatchy holds a photo taken on her wedding day of her standing next to her college roommate, Shirley Johnson (Maid of Honor) and JoAnne Hunt (bridesmaid).
McClatchy said when she pulled the dress out of storage she was reminded of happy memories about her special day. She laughed while reminiscing about her grandfather trying on the dress stating, “We had a lot of fun with that dress.”
