Throckmorton Montessori Academy now open and enrolliing

Throckmorton Collegiate ISD is proud to announce the grand opening of their Montessori Academy for students who will be ages 3-5 on or before September 1.

We are enrolling now and accepting transfers. Cost is $200/month for students in-district not meeting PK qualifications and $400/month for out of district. It runs all day from 8:00-3:45 with free breakfast and lunch.

Superintendent, Dr. Michelle Cline stated  “Because the “Montessori Method is an approach to learning which emphasizes active learning, independence, cooperation, and learning in harmony with each child’s unique pace of development”, we believe the students who are taught with the Montessori method will be better prepared for future learning and more successful in the collegiate environment.”

Come take part of the learning at TCISD’s Montessori Academy. The Montessori Method has been practiced in classrooms around the world for more than 100 years. It is trusted to provide children the caring assistance that helps them grow into adults who are self-motivated and love learning, think flexibly and creatively, are conscious of the needs of others, and actively foster harmony as they go through life.

The Montessori environment offers intentional lessons in grace and courtesy—modeling appropriate, respectful manners that are demonstrated by teachers and practiced in small groups.
