Olney Night Out

The Olney Police Department hosted a community night out on Oct. 15 to give Young County and Olney residents a chance to meet with emergency personnel who serve the Young County area. DJ Rad Dad kept the evening bumping with his lively DJ skills, the Olney Volunteer Fire Department presented an exciting demonstration on what they do in the event of a collision. Many other organizations attended and gave residents one-onone experiences including the Graham Humane Society, Young County Sheriff ’s Office [YCSO] and Rocky Hickam Towing who works closely with OPD, YCSO, OVFD and many other emergency personnel.

Officer Joe Logan was in charge of this year’s event and worked hard to make sure the Night Out would be a complete success.

“It’s the way that we give back to the community that supports us,” Officer Logan said. “We’re excited to see everybody that comes out. This is a night to give back to the community. We provide food, entertainment and network with the community in a social environment. We are here to get to know everybody and let them get to know us. We appreciate all those we serve in the community of Olney.”
