Olney History Series A Journey Through Time

Welcome back, friends! The year is 1896, and the great news for Olney is that the formation of 2 churches would form with more on the way later. The First Baptist Church of Olney was organized June 6, 1896, by seven members in the Community Church House. Pioneer preachers organized the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and the First Christian Church was organized in 1912 by the Rev. Alexander of Jacksboro. The First Baptist Church of Olney is still serving the community and growing strong to this day. Photo was taken from roadarch.com.
