Olney Hamilton Hospital Board inducts members

New members of the Olney Hamilton Hospital Board were inducted at the board meeting Friday, May 31. The new members who took the oath included: Anneta Buenger (Newcastle), Lonnie Rue (Olney), Dale Lovett (Olney) and Dr. Jeremy Johnson (Olney). The oath entails the promise to execute the duties of the office of the board of directors of Olney Hamilton Hospital District for the state of Texas. Members vowed to preserve, protect, and defend the constitution and laws of the U.S. and Texas.

At present, board members’ biographies were not available. We will provide background details about all Olney Hamilton Hospital board of directors in a subsequent article. However, regarding the board members who were inducted recently, we have a few details to share. Lovett is a technology education teacher at Olney Elementary School and is active with the Texas Professional Educators (ATPE) and with the Olney Chamber of Commerce. Rue is currently the CEO and general manager at Brazos Communications in Olney. Buenger is affiliated with the Spirit of Texas Ranch in Newcastle and Johnson is a family practice physician and medical director of Grace Care Center in Olney; he is affiliated with Olney Hamilton Hospital, Graham Regional Medical Center, Graham Urgent Healthcare and Jacksboro Hospital.

After the administrative oath, the board chairman Dale Lovett called for the election of officers. The current officers: Chairman Dale Lovett, Vice Chairman Bob Craig and Secretary Rita Choat were re-elected after a motion from Buenger to reelect the existing officers by acclamation with a second by Russell Altmiller. All members were in favor.
