Olney Chamber’s Spooktacular

The Olney Chamber of Commerce hosted the Halloween Spooktacular—a Halloween parade and trunk or treat event in downtown Olney—Oct. 31. The event was sponsored by local business, Cemco, the leading manufacturer of self-contained, self-erecting and mobile concrete batching & mixing equipment based in Ol ney, Texas.

The popular event of past years was a welcome return this year after so many canceled events in the past year. The Halloween Spooktacular brought back a sense of normality to the community of Olney. This year’s event included a parade down Main Street, which had all manner of ghastly ghouls, monsters and clever costumes. The parade ended at the Olney Pavilion. The street next to the pavilion was lined with decorated car trunks filled with candy, just waiting to be handed out to the eager and excited costumed youth of Olney. After the trunk or treat, winners for best costumes and trunks were chosen before event attendees headed to First Baptist Church of Olney for a Fall Festival.
