OISD installs new Trustees

The Olney Independent School District Board of Trustees welcomed three new members at a May 7 special meeting to canvass the results of the May 4 election and swear in new board members.

OISD Human Resources Director Jennie Walker swore in incumbent Jodee Wales to a second term and newcomer Hannah Stewart to her first term on the Board. Incumbent Kenley Lane was not present and will be sworn in later for a third term in the Place 2 seat.

Mark McClelland, president of Tower Extrusions, surrendered the Place 3 seat to Mrs. Stewart, remarking before he exited the board room that he had enjoyed filling the unexpired term of former Board president Jake Bailey.

The Board also voted to retain Summer Branum as Board President, Kyle Hinson as Vice President, and Jeff Harvey as Secretary.
