MOGURT Has Arrived!

After much buzz around Olney during the last few weeks, Mogurt has officially opened. This much beloved restaurant of Graham chose Olney as its second location to serve up healthy dining options balanced with some sweet treats.

Susan Shook and Tina Hawkins are the co-owners of Mogurt in Graham and in Olney. The business savvy duo were asked to bring their unique restaurant to Olney by another business owner who thought they would do well here. Shook and Hawkins thought Mogurt would be a good fit as well, stating “Olney would be a great place to spread the potatoes, salads, yogurt, love and smiles”.

Shook and Hawkins plan to have Mogurt open Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. They will have much of the same menu items as the Graham location with a few exceptions due to space limitations. Spud of the day will be a consistent feature at the Olney location, such as: pot roast spud on Monday and enchilada spud on Tuesday. The same will go for the soup of the day. This makes it easy for customers to know what to expect on different days of the week. The co-owners said that on some Fridays they would like to bring some excitement by offering something different, a surprise menu item.

The Olney location will offer four flavors of yogurt, due to space limitations, but will be mixing up the flavors from time to time and Mogurt is happy to take request from customers as to future flavors. Hawkins said that Mogurt will offer one with no sugar added and one with no dairy, along with two regular flavors on a daily basis for those who are lactose intolerant and for those who want an option of no additional sugar.

Mogurt encourages customers to like and check the Mogurt Facebook.com/eatmogurt2 because the Olney location is a bit different from the Graham location and it will b the best way to find out about new menu choices and specials.

When asked about why Shook and Hawkins wanted to open the Graham location, the said they wanted to offer a restaurant with a balanced menu option. The co-owners both have many years of nursing experience including home health and hospice care. Hawkins said “in that field we saw people struggle to know what to eat to help improve their healt with their specific illness that would help improve their outcome”. So, Shook and Hawkin wanted to provide a dining choice that had a great balance in the menu options. Mogurt has keto and paleo soup options which can be mixed and matched with different spuds and salads for a diverse choice for different diet options.

Shook and Hawkins wanted to let the community know that they are overly thankful and blessed to be in Olney and have served in the Olney community for the past 15 years as home health nurses and with the clinic. The Mogurt owners expressed how much they can’t wait to meet the community of Olney.
