Junior Altruistic holds first meeting

The Junior Altruistic Club held their fall luncheon and first meeting of the year in the home of Melody Rogers, on Wednesday, October 4th. Joining in hosting, were Dee Dee Fite, Gay Lynn McClelland, and Valorie Mahler. Members enjoyed a delicious lunch and then had a business meeting. The programs for the new year were distributed and this year’s projects were announced and discussed. It looks to be another fantastic year of service and fun! The club’s focus is altruism in the community, and that is evident in the members’ ongoing efforts to give back and support various causes in Olney.

Members present, in addition to the hostesses, were Sherry Altmiller, Summer Branum, Barbara Calvin, Julie Campbell, Trudy Capps, Karen Craig, Marti Hamilton, Julie Hinson, Connie Horany, Diane Ickert, Jennifer Lane, Tammy Montgomery, Anna Rogers, Julie Stewart, Jan Tyler, Minnie Wood, and honorary members, Ann Cumpton and Kobye Hannis.
