Jesus (God in the flesh)

He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature

Hebrews 1:3 NASBS

Brothers and sisters, partakers of a heavenly calling, let us hold fast to our confidence in the Lord Jesus Christ, for He descended from His imminent glory to save us. He took to Himself this body of humility in order that He may bring redemption to all whom His Father gives Him. He did this by laying down His life, being buried in a borrowed tomb, and then being raised to life three days later.

Now if Jesus descended from heaven, what does it mean except that He Himself also ascended far above all the heavens so that He might fulfill all things spoken of by His Father. All things include, setting free the captives who were enslaved to sin and awaiting execution for the day when He will judge the world according to His perfect righteousness.

So when He ascended, He led captive, a host of captives, setting them free from sin, and is now seated at the right hand of the majesty on High where He makes intercession for His beloved children.

Jesus is the expression of God, the exact imprint of His nature, and is the Savior of the world. He was the promised One Who was spoken of thousands of years earlier in a prophecy saying, “I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”

The only way to escape the reality of judgment is to come to Him in faith and repentance, bowing before His supreme majesty, and making Him Lord over your life. The author of the book of Hebrews tells us,” He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power.” Not only that, the angelic host of Heaven bid his will, His throne is above every throne, His years are without end, and His kingdom is the scepter of righteousness.

Behold the Lord Jesus Christ, “Who emptied himself taken the form of a slave, being made in the likeness of man, Who humbled himself, by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on the Cross.”

The scriptures also tell us, “For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

So, fix your hope upon the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is in heaven. He is seated at the right hand of the majesty on High and He is wearing the scars upon His fleshly body that were due to you.

Therefore, “take care that there not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end.”

So take hold of eternal life, and fight the good fight of faith. “Thy main plan, and the end of thy will is to make Christ glorious and beloved in heaven where He is now ascended, where one day all the elect will behold His glory and love and glorify Him forever. Though here I love Him but little, may this be my portion at last. In this world thou hast given me a beginning, one day it will be perfected in the realm above.” May God’s grace be with you.
