First Responders flood Olney for a cause

Young County Serving the Servants

Saturday Sept. 28, Olney’s HDH Pavilion was the place to be as Young County celebrated and showed their appreciation to the servants of Young County such as the Sheriffs office, Graham Police, Olney Police, Volunteer Fire Fighters, EMS and the wonderful people who take 911 calls.

Jake Hooker and the Outsiders Band and Matt Wayne & Company were on hand to perform and get those boots to scooting. Brendan Locker of ROCK BOTTOM BBQ was on hand along with the Graham High school BBQ team (Smoking Steers BBQ team) to serve up some of their famous BBQ.

The Graham Evening Lions Club was on hand to make sure everything was running smoothly. As well as the VFW Auxiliary 8567 and the 40 Something Cowgirls of Graham who pitched in to make this event a success.

One highlight of the afternoon portion was when Medical Air Rescue Company (MARC) flew in with their Helicopter to the HDH Pavilion. Created quite a stir amongst the ones that showed up early to the event. Some of the OHS Cheer squad was present to enjoy the festivities, as well as people from all over Young County.
