Devotional by Pastor Louis Golden Rising Star Baptist Church

“Yet, it shall be not so among you, but whoever desires to be great among you, let him be your servant.” Matthew 20:26 (KJV)

Jesus describes and explained who the real master is and who the real shepherd is. Jesus identified and defined who is the greatest of all, who is the leader of all and who is willing to be the least of all and servant of all to all. It is not the titles or positions of power that will determine who you are, recognizing the shepherd and that we are all sheep of his pasture.

The under-shepherd’s position is to see that all things function and continue to lead and feed the flock of God by example; Leading and directing to keep our eyes on Jesus in the face of challenges and adversity. If we see Jesus, we follow.

I believe in this season, that all things work together for the good of those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. I believe God will unite a stronger body of believers. I believe we will see an outpouring of God’s Spirit upon all flesh and uprising of sons and daughters. As a result of seeing and following Jesus, I believe the words of a song that says, “What a fellowship. What a joy divine? Leaning on the everlasting arms. What have I to dread? What have I to fear? Oh, how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, leaning on the everlasting arms.”

God will get the glory. God will step out and step in, displaying His supernatural power. In everything and for everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us. Coronavirus, we are here! We are the salt of the earth.

Coronavirus, we are here! We are the salt of the earth. Jesus healed all manner of diseases and we are following his lead.
