Santa Shoot-Out

Graham, Texas—We are very excited to be holding our Annual Santa Shootout kart race at the Young County Arena, in Graham Dec. 7 and 8.

The Santa Shootout was created in 2006 to give go-kart racers and their families an opportunity to compete during the regular “offseason,” while providing them an exciting indoor race that few, at the time had ever experienced.   In fact, at the time of its inception, it was known as one of the few indoor karting events held anywhere in the nation and soon became famous throughout the United States.

The first event held had 80 entries, which we considered significant at the time, considering most season holding tracks net around 30 to 40 per night. It continued to grow each year with last year’s entry numbers at 210. The Santa Shootout paved the way for Texas indoor racing and in 2013 became part of the Midwest winter Race Series, which consists of five indoor races. This series includes three stops in Texas and two in Oklahoma, with drivers coming from all over the United States.   Points are accumulated throughout the series with a cash payout and championship awarded at the end, but each event awards trophies to the top three finishers in each class.

Come on out to the Young County Arena, Graham and have a good time.
