THE REFUGE DEVOTIONAL

As we enter the holiday of Thanksgiving, I have very much to be thankful for  but there is one thing that is unparalleled from anything else, and that is the gift of grace, which The Lord of Heaven bestowed upon me many years ago.

Blessed be the Lord Jesus Christ, who is infinite in love and power; Who can change the heart of the most corrupt sinner, of whom I am the foremost. Today my prayer is that The Lord Himself has called you to such a great salvation. What does this mean? Well it means that He has drawn you to himself with sweet cords of love; His irresistible grace has turned your once stubborn heart to long for Him and His truth. That from the very beginning of time, while you were still helpless, despairing and even dead in sins, He loved you with great love. A love that is too great to be conceived or expressed; which was unsought,  unasked, and underserved; which became manifested to you through the death and resurrection of God’s only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

“O may the grace of God quicken your spirit to understand the depths of God’s love upon His beloved bride. This love is so inconceivable and so great that even the most violent of all enemies, death itself, cannot stand in its way.”

For as it is written and decreed in Holy Scripture, “If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who can bring a charge against God’s elect?”

God is faithful and can do far more than we could ever imagine. “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.”

Those of you who have not come to Christ, will you come today? Will you give Him all your heart as He conforms your will to be in agreement with Him? If so, He will separate you from the false pleasures of this world. He will not leave you but will carry on the work of purification until you are formed into His likeness. He will preserve your whole spirit, and soul and body, blameless until He comes in all His glory, taking you into His kingdom where there will be no more pain or suffering. He will not allow you to fall from grace, nor come under the dominion of sin. O what great favors The Lord bestows upon those whom He calls.
