Olney Hamilton Hospital Health Fair Scheduled for 10/13/18

Olney Hamilton Hospital’s (OHH) Annual Health Fair is on Saturday, October 13 at the Olney Civic Center, located at 203 S. Grand Street in Olney, Texas. The doors will open to the public at 7 a.m. and close at 11:00 a.m.

There were more than 175 attendees and 35 vendors at the health fair last year. Hamilton Hospital Departments that participated in 2017 include the Labs: Blood, Radiology, Carotid Dopplers, Rehab and Wellness Center, Cardio Pulmonary Rehab, and the Wound Care Center.

Participants at the 2017 health fair commented about the accessibility to the health care professionals in one location. The OHH physicians and nurses examined attendees and discussed ways to improve their health by controlling blood pressure, cholesterol and diabetes. The free testing was an excellent conduit to lead people in the right direction.

“We are thrilled with the number of vendors participating in this year’s fair,” said 2018 Health Fair Coordinator Missy Reed. “We would like to extend our gratitude to all businesses partaking in this event [to make it a success.]”

Reed said they will give away door prizes throughout the morning, and anyone who wants to contribute a door prize may contact her.

Vendors will be able to set up early at the Olney Civic Center from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, October 12. Vendors may also set up on Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m.
