Olney’s Newest Physician

Olney welcomes a new doctor to Olney Hamilton Hospital; Dr. Chantel Taylor. Dr. Taylor specializes in family practice, including Neonatal, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics. Taylor also works with gynostretics and gynecology, emergency care and sports. Taylor has had much experienced from all across the country and the World—attending Brown University, Medical School in Australia and Residency at the LSU Rural Family Medicine Program.

“I am very dedicated to do doing rural medicine, being that doctor that people can turn to that people can trust. I like the idea of a small town feel, going to the grocery store and being able to say hello to people, your patients, just being in that small environment I really like that,” Taylor said.

Dr. Taylor said that she is excited to be able to work in all areas here in Olney, including doing in patient hospital medicine, clinic medicine, deliver babies, take care of babies, as well as working in the ER.

“My goal coming here was to be able to offer quality care and a small hometown feel kind of place,” Dr. Taylor added. “I hope people are looking forward to seeing me. I will be here waiting and willing to see patients and I am excited to improve the health care in this community, we have a really good staff here and I am just ready to bring some extra excitement to the mix,” Taylor stated.

Taylor has been in Olney for a few weeks now and is already enjoying the atmosphere and the people in the community.

“I have really enjoyed the people here, everyone is just so friendly and I like that it is a family atmosphere,” Dr. Taylor concluded.
