Legion laughs it up at comedy show

American Legion Post 414 continued its quest to bring entertainment to Olney by booking the Peacock Comedy Tour. The four comedians to represent Peacock for the evening were headliner Matt Ferrell, Andrew Patterson, TJ Evans and Wayne Morris.

The comedians had great sets for the evening and had local residents in tears, they laughed so hard. One highlight of the evening was when Andrew Patterson and TJ Evans began roasting a few attendees but drew their focus on a Legion regular who was very vocal during the show.

The two comedians turned a disruptive attendee into part of the show by roasting him with information the attendee blurted out. TJ Evans, goaded by the crowd, brought the attendee on stage and made him part of the act.

It was all in good fun and everyone that attended enjoyed the back-andforth between the comedians and the disruptive attendee.

The headliner for the evening was comedian Matt Ferrell and he did not disappoint.

His set was polished and performance on point having attendees contorting, snorting and crying with laughter during his performance.

A great time was had by all who attended. The Legion’s next event is The Lonesome Fugitive, Michael Gilliam, a one-man band who records most of the instrumentation that he sings onstage.

The Lonesome Fugitive is set to play at the Legion on Saturday July 29, with a cover of $10 and room to dance.
