The new Olney police chief, Conny Clay, and city administrator Doug Hughes stopped by to see the cow last week. She was delighted by the unexpected visit. She seemed to finally be making new friends!

After talking with the chief and telling him about her recent troubles – being delivered to the hardware store by mistake and the heartbreaking rejection, oh my! – he was greatly moved by her story and assured her he would be opening an investigation into the pickle the cow seemed to have gotten herself in. The city administrator listened to her story as well and comforted her with a hug.

While she still sits quietly, looking around wonderingly amongst the strange and loud noises of construction, she does feel, at least, a little bit better after talking with her new friends.
