Guidance Oil Developers contributes to Olney Community Library’s free book distribution to elementary school students

The Olney Community Library and Arts Center would like to thank Guidance Oil Developers for the money given to continue with the Free Book Distribution for grade school students.

During the week of Monday, December 9 through Thursday, December 12, 2019 students who attend Olney Elementary School in grades Pre-K through Third Grade, received a free paperback book of their choosing . Three/Four School children who meet at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, also selected books. Students could choose a book from their reading level or interest, picture books, popular series and authors  or nonfiction. The book will be theirs to keep and treasure!

We are so thankful to Raymond Lundsford and Cully Williams for their caring sponsorship to this distribution. The purpose of this program is to promote reading as an enjoyable and important activity! This gives students a chance to select a book that will start them down the path or further their adventures into books.
