Artists collaborate to create Olney countryside

Local artist Will Sadler who was chosen by the Olney Community Library and Arts Center to showcase his photography work for the fall collaborated with local Artist Sally Bernhardt who has a very unique artistic approach to creating beautiful works of art.

Sally chooses a photo that inspires her from a photographer in her large social circle and transforms it into a painting-photo highbred. One of which is on display at the Olney Community Library and Art Centers Fall artist showcase.

After local Photographer Will Sadler was approached by Sally asking to transform on of his landscapes into a hybrid painting Sally took the digital photo and inserted it into her Coral paint program to make adjustments such as removing unwanted items from the photo and make enhancements and adjustments to the way the photo looked. After this process the photo was sent out to be printed on canvas. When Sally received the canvas back from the printer she would then enhance and transform the photo on canvas by painting the canvas to give it a very unique and beautiful transformation into the hybrid photo-painting.

The Olney Community Library and Art Center is open Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am till noon. If you have a chance stop by and check it out.
