Welcome back folks, as we continue the journey of Olney, the year is 1892, and Olney continues to grow with the addition of the first post office.
The Olney post office was established with the condition that Olney would carry the mail east for six months. After agreeing to the terms set by the United States Postal Service, plans to build the Olney post office began. The first Master for Olney would be J.H. Bristol, and the first mail carrier was Elmo Neely. Would you please Join the Enterprise as we learn about Olney’s first hotel, the Linzy Hotel.
