Clinic footprint triples in size
Olney Family Clinic celebrated the opening of the clinic expansion on Saturday. Several members of the staff greeted guests to give them a tour that included examination rooms, a nurses station and doctors’ offices to accommodate staff physicians and visiting physicians.
"We added two offices and five examine rooms for a total of 1,600 square feet finished," Hamilton Hospital C.E.O. Michael Huff said.
"It was kind of built to a mirror image of the existing offices," he said.
Huff also showed visitors another 1,600 square feet of unfinished shell space currently housing medical records, virtually tripling the clinic footprint.
One of the two offices is for Olney Hamilton Hospital's new doctor, Dr. Shivum Agarwal, and the other office rotates through visiting doctors during the month.
Olney Family Clinic is home to a myriad of visiting doctors allowing patients to stay at home instead of on the road. On Tuesdays, Dr. Alfred Santos, MD (general surgery), on Wednesdays, Srikar Malireddy, MD (oncology), on 1st and 2nd Thursday mornings, Bruce Palmer, MD (cardiology) and on 1st, 3rd and 5th Friday mornings, Venkat Thota, MD (cardiology). Dr. Brandon Perez (orthopedic surgery) is the visiting physician at the Olney Hospital Wellness Center on the first Friday morning of every month.
In addition to having highly qualified doctors, Olney Family Clinic offers quality care and a variety of services that includes surgery, laboratory testing, radiology, rehab/wellness, cardiac rehab, allergy services, Olney Sleep Lab, Pain Management Services, Wound Care and EEF—an electroencephalogram test that detects electrical activity in the brain and is used to diagnose brain disorders.
While services and office space aren’t everything, Hamilton Hospital has been twice recognized by National Rural Health Association as a National top performing hospital in the top 20 of critical access hospitals for quality of care. Now Hamilton has more space to offer the same great care.
