Baseball begins with Cityview scrimmage

It’s not quite spring in Olney but if you drove by the Cub baseball fields you might have seen a baseball game going on over the weekend. The Olney Cubs have begun training and practice for the 2024 baseball season. Shown at bat is a returning Cub veteran who was one of two Cubs to get a run in during the Cubs’ scrimmage with Cityview.

The Cubs baseball program is underway in Olney. Shown is a makeshift team of players made up of varsity and junior varsity. No roster has been filled as of late because basketball season is still in progress. That didn’t stop these eager Cubs from participating in a scrimmage with Cityview. The Cubs had two runs and although they came up short of the win they did knock the cobwebs off and begin to iron out positioning for the upcoming season.
