Artificial

I won’t be artificial, of course, but what I wanted to talk about today is A.I. or artificial Intelligence. I remember the entire evolution of A.I. up to this day very vividly. My Dad hauled cars for General Motors and several of my friends’ parents worked for General Motors as installers and builders. This may not be the beginning but it was the first time that A.I. took real jobs away from hard-working Americans.

It started with little toy robots that advanced each year to finally being smart enough to take over for human workers on assembly lines at factories. This was the first negative impact of A.I. in the workplace as I recall it. Sure, it fit right in with corporate greed which became the popular culture at the end of the 1980s and only escalated into the 1990s and has gotten worse as the years rolled by. America transformed from a nation that builds things into a nation of importing. President Donald Trump did his best to make America a nation of builders again before being taken out by corporate greed again. If you don’t think that the ones in power are those with all the money then you might be a little naïve.

Back to the point, we are where we are now and the newest A.I. A.I.rendering looks to strip more humans of their jobs or passions. They have invented A.I. to write stories, create art, and even fake photos. Pretty soon if we are not careful, A.I. will be in charge of making all the decisions and once A.I. becomes self-aware, humans will be obsolete of course. Someone once said that if a human can conceive an idea then humans can build it, given enough time and resources. But do all things conceived by humans need to be built and put into action? Just because we can do something or build something doesn’t mean it should be built. More time needs to go into studying A.I. and what we want it to do for us humans. A.I. rendering is trending heavy now and I admit I even tried it and found it very easy to create with.

Robotics and A.I. are not authentic no matter how much they may appear to be. We are created by a living God in his image and are given great imaginations to create. Part of what makes us humans is our ability to create art, music, poetry, books, and so on. When will A.I. stop advancing and human ingenuity begin to shine again? When I listen to the symphony, I see God’s creation instilled in human passion.

What things do you see God’s creation in? This is Will B. saying, I want my art, books, and stories written by real humans, not A.I.
