Juerrine Kay Routon

Juerrine Kay Routon passed from this life into the next, July 5, 2023, with her son Chuck by her side. Services will be held 2:00 P.M. July 9, 2023 at the First Methodist Church in Newcastle. Burial will follow in the Newcastle Cemetery. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Routon was born in Olney, Texas March 3, 1944 to James Edward Terry and Bertha Zenobia Wooldridge Terry. She attended school in Proffitt before transferring to Newcastle where she graduated. Juerrine married Fred Routon January 11, 1963. They were married 54 years when Fred passed in 2017. She worked at GMI for over twenty years before retiring. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include: her son Ronald Ford “Chuck” Routon and wife Anne of Graham; her grandchildren, Chase Routon and wife Maggie, Katherine Murray and partner Kyle Gertner, and Elizabeth Routon; great grandchildren, Hazel Routon, Koehn Gertner and Milo Routon. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Routon, grandson Justin Routon, brother Edmond Terry and her sister Sondra Miller.
