Donald (Don) Clifton Heflin, 68, of Holliday, died on Thursday, April 28, 2016.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 2, 2016, in the chapel of Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas, under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. 

A son of the late, Donalene (Butler) and Clifton Henry Heflin, Jr., Don was born December 14, 1947, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Petrolia High School in 1966. Don worked for the Naval Space Surveillance Station and retired after 27 years. He served his community as a fire fighter and first responder for the Lake Kickapoo VFD. He was Past President of the FOE 3580 and FIE 4128, and a member of the IBEW for 25 years.  He was previous Red River Chili Cook off Winner, Burkburnett Boom Town CCO Winner and Eagles CCO Winner. Don enjoyed drinking coffee, being outdoors, camping, fishing, competing in chili cook-offs and hunting.

Along with his parents, Don was also preceded by his wife of 27 years, Donna Vickers Heflin. 

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Cheryl Hutchinson Heflin of Lake Kickapoo, 3 sons and 1 daughter; Gerald Heflin and wife Tammy, Brad Heflin all of Dean, Texas, Monte McCarty of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Christie Ragsdale and husband, Billy Paul of Iowa Park, Texas; 3 stepdaughters; Amanda Peysen, Carrie Canedo and husband, Mark all of Wichita Falls and Kelly Campbell and husband, Ryan of Springtown, Texas; 17 grandchildren; Courtney, Crystal, Laura, Kyle Wayne, Lindsay, Kayla, Kutter, Cody, Chance, Taylor, Kyle, Bailey, Justin, Donovan, Olivia, Jack and Molly; and 10 great-grandchildren; Jacobie, Zachary, Corbyn, Lukas, Tristan, Caeden, Chloe, Ryder Wayne, Hadley and Ryder Lee.
