Bobbie Jones, age 76, of Denton, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 11, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Roger Rounsaville officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. The family will hold a reception at 1 p.m. at The Women’s Forum following the service.
Bobbie Sue McDougal was born Nov. 1, 1936, to parents Charles William McDougal and Esther Mae Barker McDougal in Jack County, Texas. She married L. Dale Jones on March 6, 1954. The Jones’ lived in Olney until moving to Breckenridge in 1968. After Mr. Jones passed away in 1988, Bobbie moved to Wichita Falls, where she attended Midwestern University. In 1995, she moved to Denton to be closer to family. Mrs. Jones was a member of The Eastern Star and Lady Elks. She enjoyed reading her Bible, arranging flowers and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. Dale Jones; parents, C.W. (Charles) and Esther Mae McDougal; brothers, Charles Troy McDougal and John Loy McDougal.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her three daughters: Debbie Burgett and husband Randy of Sanger, Casey Brown and husband David of Denton, Tammie Easley and husband David of Breckenridge; six grandchildren: Aaron Burgett of Sanger, Adam Burgett of Winter Park, Fla., Lyndsey Dawson of Denton, Haley Dawson of Waxahachie, Sara Easley Rhodes and husband Travis of Yukon, Okla., Marlie Easley Shepperd and husband Jarrod of Rockport; one great-grandchild, Rhett Alan Rhodes, who was born May 8, 2013.
