Contracts for all Olney ISD administrators were renewed for another year following action taken during the monthly meeting of the Olney ISD Board of Trustees held Monday, Feb. 10.
Interim Superintendent Terry Allen said those administrators include Janet Croker, technology coordinator; Kathy Gilmore, library director; Rex Taylor, maintenance supervisor; Hugh Farmer, athletic director; Steve Fleming, Olney High School principal; Cristi Little, Big 4 Co-op director; Elaine Reno, curriculum/staff development director; Gunter Rodriguez, Olney Junior High principal; and Travis Armstrong, Olney Elementary School principal.
The district’s search for a new superintendent was addressed during a report given by Allen, who said trustees plan to meet with Darren Frances of the Region IX Education Service Center, with whom trustees contracted to perform the search, regarding the next steps in the process. At a previous meeting, Trustees agreed to meet with Frances on Monday, Feb. 24, to narrow down the list of applicants before undertaking the first round of interviews during the week of March 3. The second round of interviews was planned for March 16-17, with the next regular board meeting set on Tuesday, March 18.
