Young County 4-H attends OSU Big Three Field Days and events at Northern Oklahoma College

A group of six Young County 4-H members attended the Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa, Oklahoma, on July 18, and the OSU Big Three field Days July 19-21, in  Stillwater, OK. 4-H Youth in attendance at these events are as follows. Buckley Whitaker, Boomer Whitaker, Amanda Richards, Victoria Richards, Phoebe Rogers, and Shanna Gleason.  

At the Northern Oklahoma College contest the senior team was third overall out of 15 teams with Victoria Richards receiving the 10th highest individual.  

At the Oklahoma State University “Big 3” field days the senior livestock judging team placed 11th out of 34 teams in that division.  In the individual competition Phoebe Rogers was third highest individually in Sheep, second highest individually in Cattle and fourth overall in the sweepstakes competition.  

The OSU Big Three Animal Science Field days is the world’s largest livestock judging contest with just short of 1,900 youth involved from multiple states.
