Olney Chamber of Commerce will hold its first-ever Community Christmas Caroling event from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the open air pavilion in downtown Olney. The event was originally scheduled for last week, but was moved to inclement weather conditions.
Chamber board members will sell hot chocolate and cookies for $1, and kids can expect to see Santa while they are at the event. Santa will be located in an indoor area of the pavilion. Parents are welcome to take photos of children with Santa.
Selections from the Olney Community Children’s Choir performance of “The Secret of Snowflake County” will be performed as well.
After the downtown caroling has ended, anyone who would like to participate is invited to travel to sing at Grace Care Center around 7:15 p.m., Olney Healthcare Center at 7:30 p.m. and South Terrace Apartments around 7:45 p.m. Residents at South Terrace are invited to open up their doors and listen to the music.
